My Story

I have had a very diverse career path prior to becoming a massage therapist. My twenties were spent facilitating adventure tourism and I used my body in outdoor activities on a daily basis. I was first introduced to remedial massage while training for adventure races. I found that my body would insist on long breaks for recovery. With massage I was able to increase my training load and decrease my recovery time, enabling me to complete some very challenging individual events including the Marysville to Melbourne as a solo competitor. After several professional deviations I found myself supporting people with chronic and severe mental health conditions. This was a wonderful opportunity for me to develop empathy and understanding, which I can now bring that to the massage table. I am firm believer in the body's ability to heal and how massage can alleviate pain and support the healing process.

Preventive Health

Massage can be used as a preventive strategy to maintain optimal health and well-being.  Relaxation massage taps into the body's parasympathetic nervous system driving the body's own restorative processes .
